**Welcome to Winter in the DAF Learning Commons!** As the season of snowflakes and cozy reading begins, I'm excited to bring you all the latest updates and events happening in the learning commons this winter. From exciting book recommendations to engaging activities, there’s something for everyone! Recently I had this conversation with a student. Student: "Miss Vicki, I read this book at my other school and I want to read it again, but I don't remember what it is called or who the author is." Me: "What was the main character's name?" Student: "I don't remember that either." Me: "What do you remember?" Student: "That the cover was (insert colour here)." As you can imagine, this is not very helpful. I can try to recommend the right book but tends to not help. They just can't remember without seeing the cover themselves. So I thought I might make a blog post and showcase some of the fine red covered books we have. Ma...
