Spring Has Sprung in the Library! πŸŒ·πŸ“š

Spring is finally here! As the days get longer and the snow melts away, the library is coming alive with new books, new ideas, and lots of creativity.

One exciting new addition this season is our Library Craft Club. Students who enjoy making things with their hands have been gathering in the library to work on creative projects. It has been wonderful to see students sharing ideas, helping each other, and taking pride in what they make.

Several students are currently finishing an especially fun project—creating their own “Monster Book of Monsters” inspired by the magical creature-filled book from the wizarding world. These creations have been full of personality, with fur, teeth, and plenty of imagination. The results have been fantastic, and it’s been great to see students bring books to life through art.

Of course, spring is also a great time to discover a new book. If you're looking for something to read, here are a few popular picks for middle school readers:

πŸ“– Mystery & Adventure

  •  Kingston and the Magician's Lost and Found by Rucker Moses and Theo Gangi

  • Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein

πŸ‰ Fantasy & Magic

  • A Dark Inheritance by Chris D'Lacey

  • Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland

πŸ˜‚ Humour & Graphic Novels

  • Smile or Guts by Raina Telgemeier

  • Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey

🌎 Real Life & Thoughtful Stories

  • A Heart in a Body in the World by Deb Caletti

  • New Kid by Jerry Craft

The library is more than just shelves of books—it’s a place to explore ideas and discover new interests. My role is to help students find books they enjoy, support them with research and school projects, and make the library a welcoming place for everyone who walks through the door.

Whether you come to read, research, relax, or create, the library is always open and full of possibilities.

Come visit the library this spring—you never know what new story, idea, or craft project might inspire you next! πŸŒΌπŸ“–

Happy Reading!

Vicki
